Hurricane - Help Restore Hope for Diane and Gary Stokes

Hi, I’m Garrett and most of you know my parents Diane and (Pops) Gary Stokes. My parents have been married for over 43 years and have overcome all odds with faith, hard work, and true unconditional Love! God is always first! My parents have lived in Port Richey, FL for the past 7 years and made themself a cozy home. The storm surge from Hurricane Helene was worse than expected and flooded my parents’s home, destroying everything, which includes furniture, bedding, appliances, clothes, family photo albums, etc…But it did not destroy the most important possession which is their life. That is truly irreplaceable.They are blessed to be here to take a breath.

During all this my dad was admitted to the hospital with a serious diagnosis. Thankfully he’s safe in the hospital but he and my mom will face unthinkable challenges as they navigate life forward from here. My Mom has had MS for the past 35 years and COPD which requires her to be on Oxygen 24 hours a day. We used her portables oxygen machines why the electric has been out but they of course ran out and made it much more difficult for her. My father has coronary artery heart disease among other illnesses. I know God has put his armor around them.
