URGENT! Please Help Jikoji!
Tax deductible
Thanks to our founder, Kobun Chino Otogawa Roshi, for over 40 years Jikoji Zen Center has served as a refuge for learning meditation, exploring and taking to heart the Buddha's teachings, and recognizing interconnection through the Sangha community.
Practitioners and visitors alike often say that Jikoji "is a special place," a sacred space where individuals can safely seek peace, clarity, and connection.
However, the very foundation of Jikoji requires urgent attention!
Our aging septic system and infrastructure are in critical need of repair. Without these essential upgrades, our ability to host retreats, classes, and daily practice sessions is at risk.
To ensure Jikoji's health and sustainability, we must immediately raise $120,000 to cover necessary improvements, including, but not limited to:
- Upgrading and expanding our septic system to meet health and environmental standards; and
- Repairing and maintaining crucial infrastructure, including plumbing, accessible pathways and decks; and
- Fully permitting the existing structures to strengthen our capacity to support our growing community.
We humbly ask for your urgent support. Your generosity will directly impact the longevity of our beloved Jikoji, preserving it as a place of refuge for all who seek compassion and wisdom.
Any amount you can give—whether large or small—will bring us closer to our goal.

Your support is a gift that extends far beyond infrastructure—it sustains a community of practice, peace, and transformation.
Thank you for being part of Jikoji and for ensuring that we continue to bring forward Kobun's teachings.
