Help Katie Recover from Hurricane Helenes Devastating Floods

Donation protected
Hello!

We are here to raise money to help Katie Meili Messersmith, owner and creator of Katie Meili Pottery and my amazing sister in law, after the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. The whole River Arts District, where Katie’s studio was located, was completely underwater. Katies entire studio spent days underwater and the flood waters are just now starting to recede. Multiple buildings were swept away from the strength of the flood waters so almost certainly, everything is either destroyed or gone. The community of Asheville was not prepared for how bad this disaster would hit, and they were not able to save anything. Katie is an incredibly talented potter who lost all finished pottery and back stock inventory, all of her equipment (shelves tables, clay, bats, tools, buckets, glazes and more as they are still assessing the damage) and of course the space in which she taught her beloved students. Please consider donating to help her recoup some of the loss and bring her business back to life after the tragedy they have experienced over the last few days.
