Help Restore Marcy Field

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Insurance is NOT covering the damage incurred to our beloved Marcy Field, the heart of our community. Please help support the recovery effort by donating to this Go Fund Me.

A note from Town Supervisor, Joe Pete Wilson:

"On Monday July 24th at 10 am the town will begin temporary repairs to the field and runway. We would like to invite anyone who is available to come and help replace turf and do some raking. These temporary repairs will allow events like the summer concert series, Capture the Flag, and Kitefest to proceed.

The temporary repairs will allow us to get through the busy schedule of summer events at the field without any further disruption. The temporary repairs will also give us time to plan for long-term, permanent work to restore the field. Because of the busy schedule of events, we can't really start long-term work until there is uninterrupted time for work to take place and grass to grow back.

We look forward to seeing any volunteers who are available Monday morning, and thanks to everyone for the support they have expressed."
