Help Restore Military Heritage Museum Post-Hurricane

Tax deductible

The Military Heritage Museum needs your support after Hurricanes Helene and Milton brought significant flooding and devastation to our property. The storms caused serious damage to the rear ground floor area of the museum, and several large boats are still stuck on pilings after drifting on the property during the storm surge. Along with the boats, there’s a lot of debris scattered across the property that needs to be cleared.

Unfortunately, the organization that acts as our landlord has not helped with the issue, leaving us to cover the cleanup costs ourselves. To address these urgent repairs and restore the property, we are having to dip into our general operating funds, which were meant to support our ongoing programs and services. However, we are committed to being good stewards of the land and are proud of this place at 900 West Marion that we call home.

We are reaching out to our community for help. Your donation will go directly toward cleanup efforts, repairing the damage, and ensuring that the museum remains a beacon for veterans, student field trips and visitors alike. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping us recover and continue honoring our veterans’ stories. Thank you for your support during this challenging time.
