Help Rebuild Zillicoah Beer Co.

Donation protected

Words cannot express what our community is currently going through. As longtime WNC residents, our hearts are aching in a special way. Lives have been lost. People are still unaccounted for. Houses and businesses are gone. Livelihoods destroyed. As the days goes by, we are seeing the full scope of devastation from Hurricane Helene. Our eyes are swollen from the tears shed over the last several days, but we are rejoicing in the fact that our families are safe.

Zillicoah began long before most realize. As brothers (2 by blood, and 1 by choice), this collective dream took every ounce of grit, every dollar, and every drop of blood, sweat, and tears we had. To see our life in such shambles was hard enough. As the roads cleared, and we were finally able to get to our property, seeing the state of our building was one of the most sobering experiences any of us had ever experienced. More than half our equipment is completely gone. The rest of it is in very bad shape. All inventory (beer, merch, and everything else) is gone. We are not ready to give up. We will fight to rebuild. But this is a time to prioritize. Please donate to life savings efforts first. If you are in a position to also do so, please consider helping us rebuild our lives. We love you. We appreciate you. We hope someday, to once again slide a beer across a granite slab to you.

This is put together by Kristen Chassner, the wife of one of the owners. This business is not only our livelihood, but it is our happy place, and that of people all around the WNC community and beyond. Help us rebuild this business and bring people back to a place of happiness and of course, great beer.
