Help restore our historical stained glass windows
Tax deductible
We are a small church in Michigan.
Our building was completed in 1888.
The builders of our church found some true craftsmen.
One look at the windows and you will quickly be transported back in time!
Back to a time when people became masters of their craft!
They created our amazing stained-glass windows.
They have stood the test of time, but 135 years takes its toll.
Some of the glass is cracked, chipped and loose.
The wood frames that hold them need to be repaired.
We also need a protective covering installed.
- This new covering protects from rock damage and weather.
In addition, through the years repairs were made but different colors of stained glass were used.
We love our church, and we love the history displayed in the windows.
We think the artistry displayed in them should be preserved and enjoyed for generations to come.
So we contacted the Willer Hauser Architectural firm that specializes in creating and restoring stained glass windows. Their work can be seen at the National Cathedral and the National Presbyterian Church in Washington DC.
To restore all damaged glass, and replace all the incorrect colors.
To repair damaged wood and install protective coverings.
The project total is 62,932
We believe in this project so much, that our congregation of 60 has raised...
- 47,990
- So we are asking for 14,992 to help us complete the project.
This is not a dream project!
- The team has just arrived and will begin their work this week.
If you love history and architecture! - Help us keep this piece of history!
