Help Restore roof of local Church!

Dear Friends and Kind Souls,

On behalf of the local church community [Saint Bernard Christian Church, or SBCC] here in Mahayahay Saint Bernard Southern Leyte, PH, we reach out to you in a time of desperate need. In December 2021, Super Typhoon Rai (Odette) wreaked havoc on its local church community, tearing away the roof of its cherished church and leaving our spiritual haven in ruins.

The local church community is composed of hardworking individuals, most of whom are poor and earn an average of just $3.80 for a full 8-hour workday. Their dedication to their families and community is unwavering, but they simply cannot afford the substantial cost required to rebuild the church's roof.

This church is more than a place of worship; it's a sanctuary for our community, offering hope, love, and connection in times of joy and sorrow. The destruction of the roof has left an emptiness in our hearts, and we humbly seek your compassion and support to fill that void.

We aim to raise $20,000 to restore the roof and bring our church back to its former glory. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to the rebuilding efforts, ensuring that this symbol of faith and unity is preserved.

Your kindness and generosity can make a tangible difference in the lives of people who have endured so much yet remain resilient and hopeful. Your support will not only rebuild a structure but reinforce a community's spirit.
