We are La Fiesta de San Luis Obispo de Tolosa - Old California Days.

The dates of the return of La Fiesta's is July 8th-12th, 2026. I ask that you make a donation to support our Team

Our Project is restoring our local fiesta to our community after a 20+ year hiatus to honor the 100th anniversary of our Fiesta. This local celebration was the annual highlight of our community for decades with participation from all over the county. The goal is a start, we will need to raise much more than that to accomplish our goal.

The Board of Directors consists of people from many local families and leaders in the community. My own family participated in the first La Fiesta in the 20's and continued through the years. Some of our best memories came from those great days. Many of our board members can say that same thing. Our desire to bring back La Fiesta is from our hearts, and share these good times with you all.

Our desire to bring La Fiesta back as a fond look back to the early days of San Luis Obispo. With a plan to offer many events, of which will include a parade, carnival, carnival del mercado, and folklorio dancing for all ages, with live music from major recording artists in the mission plaza, and don't forget about the wonderful food. We also will be bringing back the Fiesta Queen and Whiskerino contests, and will be burning Old Man Gloom (Zozoroba) to start the La Fiesta weekend. After initial conversations with the City of SLO, and Parks and Rec, we are moving forward with the event.

Our current needs are establishing the office, organization, and media. We are currently incorporating as a nonprofit, gathering volunteers, establishing a website and social media, and operating a working office. All of these have costs associated with starting up this event, as there are many things needed to accomplish this undertaking.

Our Board of Directors have set aside the time in planning this 5 day event, which will be a professional production, in concert with local charities and nonprofits. We plan to include all local communities to make this a family friendly celebration of our local heritage and cultural identity.
