Help Restore the Iconic Beetlejuice School House

Donation protected
The nonprofit, Miss Shannon’s School House purchased the historic East Corinth School House in 2022 with intentions to renovate the building. Our aim is to preserve the building and turn it into a community center with auditorium to be used to host concerts, shows and plays. Our schoolhouse was featured in the 1988 cinema classic, Beetlejuice, and is reprising its role in the upcoming sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!

Upon renovation the nonprofit will be embracing its Beetlejuice roots offering tours, movie showings, festivals and themed events. We will be head quarters for all things strange and unusual!

We need $500,000 to get the building in working order. We are anticipating at least 75% of our funding raised will be through state and federal grants. We are asking the general public and Tim Burton enthusiasts alike to help get us started. With our initial goal of $50,000 raised we will be eligible for more competitive matching grants that will significantly expedite our goal.

If you are a fan of cult classics and preserving parts of rural Vermont, please consider donating to our cause!
