Help Restore the Linden VFW

Donation protected
On June 26th, 2022, The Linden Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #1397 caught fire and burned beyond repair. A Linden Staple, the building has stood since the 1890s.

Over the decades, their charity to the Linden Community has been unlimited. Everyone has at some point been at a party in the back, or rented the hall for a family event, which was always such a reasonable price for the space that was available. The Linden VFW has allowed countless organizations to use their hall for free to help expanded community engagement throughout the entire City. On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank Linden Mayor Derek Armstead, the members of Council who were there offering a helping hand, the members of the Linden Police Department, Linden Fire Department and all those involved in the Union County Mutual Aid who responded to the fire.

Commander Dennis Costello, Marlene, and all of the members of the VFW have always been there to support every cause in this City. Today, the members of our Linden Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1397 need our help. Whatever insurance covers, it won't inevitably cover everything. This is where we can step up and help.  I Humbly ask you to open your hearts and be a part of the rebuild for these essential members of our Linden Community.

Thank you.
