Help Restore Vaste Riviere and Bugs & Brews

The home of Vaste Riviere Provisions, Suites @ 158, and Bugs & Brews was destroyed during the flooding resulting from Tropical Storm Helene as it swept through WNC. Our sweet town of Hot Springs has experienced devastation. We want to rebuild to be a resource for our community and meeting point for friends as we were before. 1 month update: Over the past month, so much has happened & there have been so many emotions. We have mucked, cleaned, sprayed. All equipment has been removed and will need to be replaced. Drywall & insulation has been removed up to 5+ feet. Flooring and subfloor have been completely removed in Bugs & Brews. The kitchen floor has been removed as well as a minimal of the original hardwood--hopefully it can be refinished. We have water back to the building & are hoping for partial power soon, so we can stop paying $60/day for gas in the generators. The employees, volunteers, family, & friends who have helped in so many ways, shown support, lifted us in prayer, reached out means more than we can express & helps pick us up when the down moments sweep us off our feet. We continue to push forward & look ahead to opportunities that hide within the muck. We’re grateful & blessed. What's next? Replace all electrical ($10,000+), replace vaper barrier, subflooring, and flooring in Bugs & Brews ($6,000+), remove & rebuild the front patio ($26,000+), refinish original flooring and patch (? cost), add kitchen flooring ($5,000+), reset plumbing ($4,000+), and install insulation and drywall ($10,000+). After checking off those boxes, we'll be ready to add equipment ($30,000+) and restock ($20,000+). Thanks for your support & encouragement! We will keep moving forward!
