New Vocations founded in 1992 offers retiring racehorses a safe-haven through a process of rehabilitation, retraining, and ultimately rehoming to loving, caring, & qualified adopters. Horses who have arrived at New Vocations either were too slow to be competitive on the track, injured, or need some time and help to decompress having suffered normal occupational hazards of racing as well as in need of time to become reacquainted with being a horse again. All these horses face a common reality: Without training beyond what has been taught to them as a racehorse, a good safe future isn’t guaranteed. New Vocations provides a safety net for these horses by rehabilitating them and ultimately finding them loving and qualified adopters.
