Help Reunite Daniel with His Family

Donation protected
Volunteers with Casa de Paz visit immigrants in the Aurora, Colorado detention center every week.

Last December, we met ‘Daniel’ (not his real name, as we want to protect his privacy), who is originally from Argentina but most recently lived in Wyoming with his young US-born wife and 2-year old daughter.

Last year, Daniel had some legal trouble, so he was arrested by ICE and placed in the Aurora Detention Center. He did not have funds to hire an attorney, so he was forced to represent himself in immigration court. Without legal counsel and with the odds stacked against him, the judge ordered his deportation.

Daniel is one of the most positive and upbeat people we have ever visited in detention. He is respected by the guards and looked up to by other detained immigrants, who see him as a pastor.

And now Daniel is facing the possibility of being permanently separated from his wife and daughter.

We have hired a trusted attorney who has agreed to appeal his case for a steeply discounted rate of $2,500. Daniel’s wife has contributed $500, and we hope to raise the remaining $2,000.

Please consider giving a little or a lot to help Daniel and his family be reunited!
