Help reunite Oscar's family

Donation protected
Oscar was wrongly detained by ICE back in April when Immigration and Customs Enforcement did an operative in Western North Carolina, where 28 people were taken and their families affected. He had to first fight for his release from Stewart Detention Center, since his release he has been working on his immigration case as well as getting his children back. He is a  loving father of 5 children and has lived in Burnsville, NC for 13 years.

As of today, there are thousands of wrongfully detained immigrants; due process and speedy proceedings, a constitutional decree in regards to legal processes, are currently in violation of these cases. Detainees are held without a charges for long periods of time; they are not given access to lawyers or legal counsel; if they are granted hearings, they can take up to 7 minutes, with an average of 4 minutes. These hearings are held in a massive format, where a large group of detainees receive hearing. Detainees who do not have family outside to fight for them, do not have the possibility to have access to the resources to fight for their cases. From abusive treatment, to lack of medical attention, to no access to legal processes, detainees are left to rot.

Oscar had access to legal resources due to advocacy from his family and friends. But even so, the bill for receiving this help is huge.

All of the funds will go to filling fees and legal representation.
Anything goes a long way.

Thank you!
