Help reunite Paula and her dog Maia

On August 18th, Delta Airlines lost my sisters dog in one of the busiest airports in the world. Maia has been by my sisters side for almost 7 years. Maia is family and she has formed and unbreakable bond with my sister Paula that goes beyond words. As you may have seen in the videos (see links below) Maia and Paula go everywhere together, which is probably why Maia so desperately broke through her kennel bag when they were separated, Maia needed to get back to Paula, especially after a very stressful travel. Maia would not have gotten lost if the Delta agent was taking “good care of her” like they said they would or if they weren’t separated in the first place.
It has almost been 2 weeks now and delta, a multi-billion dollar airline have responded with “the teams will keep their eyes and ears open” but will not be actively searching for Maia anymore and will not contribute to any search services (email attached in photo). They also will not give my sister access to the security cameras in order to locate Maia’s exact whereabouts, a crucial piece of information.
Now, we are forced to take matters into our own hands. This horrific situation has left my sister sleepless, with constant panic attacks and no appetite. I do not want her to get worse. That is why we have resorted to the thousands of people who have showed us their support since the story came out in the news. Maia and Paula need hope, we all do. Hope that they will be together again.
Our priority now is to find Maia. We have created this Gofundme page with the sincere aim of raising funds to cover the expenses to get the best resources available to try and locate Maia. Some of the resources we hope to use are: professional pet detectives, Legal consultation (fees are included), search dogs services, animal communicator services, reward flyers, surveillance services…etc..The emotional trauma of this experience lead my sister to be hospitalized various times in the past few days, with no strength, emotional nor physical, she has not been able to work, it is also a priority to make sure she has the resources to stay strong through this fight.
This is a time for humans, strangers to come together against all odds of a multi-billion dollar airline not claiming responsibility for their actions. We need to take action.
A message from Paula, my sister: ‘Maia is my whole heart and I KNOW she is out there somewhere looking for her mom. I need your contribution to help in our search efforts to bring me closer to reuniting with my baby. Your support means the world to me as I navigate this emotional journey. Thank you! '
