Help Revitalize Ancient Khmer Ceramics!

Traditional Cambodian arts and culture were almost destroyed during the Khmer Rouge genocide in 1975-1979. This fundraiser revitalizes Cambodian art by bringing Yary Livan, one of three Master Cambodian Ceramists, from Lowell, Massachusetts, to Long Beach, California. Master Yary Livan's artistry put him in danger during the genocide, but it also saved his life. He's passionate about sharing the beauty and honoring the tradition of Cambodian ceramics with the world.

Long Beach, CA, is home to the largest community of Cambodians outside of the country itself. Master Yary Livan will be in Long Beach on April 7-8th, 2024 to exhibit his work, have clay demos, a ceramic shop, and teach a traditional Cambodian tile carving workshop.
