I'm Alexandria Monet Taylor, the vibrant, sparkly, and daring mind behind She Thrifty Apparel. I approach you with a request to help manifest a dream into reality. In 2021, I had the incredible opportunity to open a physical location amidst the radiant collage of community and culture in Durham, North Carolina. I nurtured this shed shop into a sanctuary where vintage treasures danced with the spirit of rebellion, and local vintage lovers could explore my finds and collect new treasures. It was a small shed, but a big dream come true. Yet, as destiny would have it a new horizon beckoned, leading me to the lively metropolis of downtown Raleigh in a new partnership. While our Raleigh venture thrives, and my cherished shed shop lives on as my office space, my heart yearns for the familiar embrace of my Durham community. Fueled by a fervent desire to revive She Thrifty Apparel in its rightful home, I'm here before you, eager and hopeful. With your invaluable support, together, we can transform this dream of obtaining a physical storefront location into our reality.

First in my humble shed shop, now on the brink of revival as we breathe new life into it, She Thrifty re-emerges as a beacon of renewed excitement, ready to delight patrons with its revamped offerings, personalized experiences, and a curated collection of vintage pieces—each infused with the dreams and aspirations of those who wear them.

Almost two years ago, I embarked on a new chapter with the goal of expanding She Thrifty’s reach to a broader audience. Armed with a truckload of one-of-a-kind pieces and a heart full of determination, I navigated the busy streets of North Carolina’s capital, communing with crowds of people full of infectious energy and impeccable style.

You may be wondering why I am asking for your help. As my Raleigh business continues to blossom, a huge part of me longs for the familiar streets of Durham–the place where my vintage odyssey first began. Since transitioning to my Raleigh partnership, I don’t have the financial flexibility to nurture my Durham She Thrifty Apparel location the way that it both requires and deserves. However, recently an offer to bring this haven of sustainability and sanctuary for vintage lovers back to its home has presented itself, and I am humbly asking for your help to fund this opportunity.

Now, enriched by invaluable experiences and fueled by my boundless passion and determination I am eager to create a space where vintage dreams are realized, and circular fashion thrives for the people of my Durham community.
