**UPDATES**
As you may know the border is now closed & my teacher has decided she wants to do her best to remain in her home Gaza. The donations have been used for their survival to buy things such as water, food & medicine.

Any further donations she wishes to use to aid her community as well as her family, especially those injured and unable to afford medicine which is scarce due to the blockade.

In her words:
“I now want to collect donations for patients who need treatment. The medicines don't inter and what is available is only a little and at a very high price. They are in pain every second, and I cannot see them and I cannot bear to live without their help, so I need to collect money as soon as possible.”

This is my old Arabic teacher from Jabalia, Gaza. She is pregnant with young children and has been unfairly targeted during these past few months. I’m currently trying to help her raise the funds to escape, her message to you all is this:

“I am Rewaa, and I come to you with a heartfelt plea. For years, I've had the privilege of teaching Arabic remotely, perhaps even to some of you or your children. However, amidst the turmoil of Northern Gaza, my reality has become increasingly perilous.

Living in close proximity to the renowned Al-Shifa hospital, my family and I grapple daily with the specter of violence and deprivation. The scarcity of essentials like food and clean water compounds our struggles, leaving us in a constant state of vulnerability.

In light of these grave circumstances, my family has made the difficult decision to flee Gaza, seeking safety elsewhere. The path to freedom is fraught with financial barriers; crossing the Egyptian border through Rafah demands an exorbitant fee of approximately £5,500 (around $7000 USD) per person.

I implore you, dear friends, to join me in this urgent mission to secure the future of my family, comprising six souls, including my unborn child. At five months pregnant, I am beyond desperate to shield my loved ones.

Your generosity and support in this critical hour will not only rescue my family but also restore hope in our hearts. Together, let's turn the tide of adversity into a beacon of hope and safety.

With heartfelt
