Help Reza after house burned in Marshall fire
Donation protected
Reza Mahlouji immigrated to the United States looking for a chance to start a better life. He found that in Boulder, CO in the 1990s. He also found a wife, and together they had one son, Bijan. Reza is a hard worker and provided for his family by driving a taxi. In 1999, he was able to purchase a home in Superior, in Sagamore subdivision. His wife passed away at a young age, leaving him a single father.
Reza and Bijan lived in that house for many years, through many life stages and changing seasons. Bijan eventually got married and moved out, and started a family of his own in another state. Reza loved the Flatirons a lot, but he loved his grandkids even more so he made the decision to retire from driving a taxi, rent out his house in Superior, and live near the grandkids. He never thought that would be the last time he would see his house in Blackfoot Street.
The Marshall Fire took many things from so many families, including Reza. His house was his only source of income, and his only asset. He was underinsured, and so this fundraiser is a way to help regain sooner of what was lost, so that he can stay afloat financially for the time-being, and so he can begin thinking about rebuilding a home that one day he can bring his grandkids to, and show them the Flatirons.
