Hello Friends,

Thank you for taking time to read my Go Fund Me.

My name is Rhys. I am an Actor and Comedy Writer from South Wales. I have been working in the industry for 13 years and in around 3/4 years ago I came out professionally as Non-Binary.

I have always known I wasn’t Cisgender (something childhood friends can attest to) but it was only in recent years that I was able to find the language to express what I feel on the inside.

Back when puberty reared it’s ugly head, I felt like my body was betraying me. I began to loose my hair and sprout it in weird and wonderful places. Since then I’ve never been able to recognise the person I saw In the mirror. I avoid them where ever possible and going to a beach or public pool is something I really struggle with.

What I am asking for today is help in funding Gender affirming procedures that would help me live a fuller, happier life.

So far I have self funded laser hair removal on my face. At the moment of writing I am 11 treatments in and still have a long way to go. It’s a slow and painful road, but no longer having the feeling of sand paper on my cheeks is beyond description. I want to continue with treatments, but my budget means it will be a while before I can do anything else.

I understand that times are tight for all. So anything you would be able to give will be so appreciated.

If I do manage to raise more than I need for treatments and surgery costs, I pledge to donate all extra proceeds to other trans people in need.
