Help Richard Finish His Lease

My name is Richard Heaton. I live with my wife (Nicole) and my dog (2D) in Westfield, IN. We are empty nesters who have raised five children in the home we currently rent.

In my youth, I was an honor roll student. Unfortunately, as many of us do, I made a series of poor decisions and became addicted to drugs after graduating high school.

In the process of getting clean and sober through a methadone clinic, I met a gentleman who chose to mentor me in software. I embraced the opportunity and became a highly successful, self-taught software engineer with his help.

However, the landscape of the software industry has changed, and now layoffs and downsizing are translating into the end of careers for many people of a certain age. I continue to fill out applications and seek employment on LinkedIn and other platforms daily, but with no luck.

In the meantime, I do not wish to be lazy or waste time. My wife and I own two LLCs and are trying diligently to get them off the ground and profitable. The following are links to our websites:

I have also taken a position as a supervisor at Whole Foods Marketplace in Carmel, IN while trying to land my next software position and continue to expand our businesses.

Our lease is up at the end of August. We are planning to move then, but we are very scared that we will not be able to make the rent each month until then and be evicted.

We live in a large, 5-bedroom home in Westfield, IN. Our rent is currently $3,000 per month. I am looking to raise $9,000. This will cover March's rent that is already late, April, and May's rent.
