Rick's Relentless Fight and Journey

Over the past 4 years, my dad has endured numerous medical surgeries/procedures and treatments. Most recently Dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. He endured treatment like the warrior he is and although treatment went great and shrunk the tumor, many complications arose from this process. Dad has been in the hospital 5 of the past 8 weeks and is now currently in ICU for multiple issues (acute kidney failure, A-fib, respiratory distress, cardiac tamponade, pericardial and pleural effusion, and signs of heart failure).  Dad has undergone chemo, radiation, tackled numerous infections, been cardioverted multiple times, had a pericardiocentesis, may need dialysis with more treatments ahead. Due to these issues, Dad has continued to be a "guinea pig" (as he calls it) for treatments, medications and procedures which come at a cost- physically, mentally, and financially. My sister Lauren, mom Kim,  and wife Amber having been in the hospital providing continuous love and support for my dad and each other during this time. My mom's love for my dad and unwavering support has me speechless... theres no way to describe it. During this time though, the last thing I want is my mom to worry about are bills from his stay. As we all know nothing comes free in life. If you have 5 cents or $5 that you're willing to part with to support a man and his wife who have devoted their lives to serving others, please feel free to give what you can. If not financially maybe with your time, words, and thoughts.

Funds will be put towards:
-deductibles/medical expenses 
-meals and food for mom
-lost wages for mom being his caretaker for the last year

This is the last thing my dad would want me to do is look for help from others, he never asked for help because it meant he wasn't able to help someone else. We don't really know what direction we are headed with this and what road dad will travel but I do know that he loves his friends and family more than anything and will be glad to know you're with him during this time.
