Help Rick Murphy Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Dearest family and friends,
As of now I’m sure most have heard the devastating news about Rick being diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. His battle is just beginning and he has a strong spirit and a will to fight this but we need your help.
Rick’s Oncologist has a plan of action which includes doing aggressive chemotherapy and then radiation. After that if the cancer mass has shrunk enough they want to do surgery to remove it. Following that he will have to have maintenance afterwards for a while to ensure they eradicated it all.
Unfortunately, this is going to be a long and very expensive battle, which will limit Ricks’ ability to work, and donate his time as much. This is where your help and support comes in.
If Rick can focus on the battle instead of worrying about how he is going to pay for the treatments it will keep his mind on the fight and thereby keep his will to fight stronger.
Over the years Rick has volunteered countless hours with the scouts and the community.
Every year he and the troop canvas neighborhoods collecting Food for the local food pantry. When asked why he still does it since his son got his Eagle rank back in 2006, Rick’s reply has always been “Because I believe in the program and I want to help others achieve the rank and learn and build life skills that will take them further in life.” He leads his troop by example showing hard work earns great rewards.
Please help Rick beat this so he can continue doing what he loves to do.
Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated. It all adds up.
