Help Ricky Fight Duodenal Cancer
Donation protected
It is with the heaviest heart that I have to announce this, recently my dad Ricky Ramdayal, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of duodenal cancer. Due to the rarity of this type of cancer, it was not caught in time and continued to spread unnoticed. Ricky is a great husband, parent, and grandparent, who deserves to see his grandchildren grow older. I am asking for any support thatyou can offer at this time.
Everything So Far: Recently, my dad Ricky was hospitalized after experiencing severe stomach and back pain. Seeing him suffering in so much pain was terrible, but that got even worse several days after being released from the hospital, he was tested positive for cancer after a biopsy.
This happened on Jan, 21, 2019. The very next day, he was scheduled for an emergency appointment with an oncologist to begin staging the progression of the cancer. At the time, the doctor was unable to stage what level the cancer was at, but it was identified that it was cancer of the duodenum. We found out that this type of cancer was very rare in comparison to other types. The cancer, since the initial the diagnosis, has spread and is in an advanced stage, untreatable by surgery and requiring extensive chemotherapy.
Financial Help: Medical costs add up severely, even with having insurance. It doesn't help that most insurances will fight you every step of the way to avoid paying out. And unfortunately, insurance does not cover the full extent of hospital bills and much still needs to be paid. And astreatment starts, my dad will be unable to work, unable to pay for medical, living expenses, and healthcare insurance. Any donation towards helping pay for these expenses would be greatly appreciated.
