Help Riker the Cat

Riker, one of our two cats, has had issues with his bladder and stones the last few months. He experienced a blockage last year which a visit to the vet was able to cure, but a couple of months ago he started having issues urinating. Another vet visit determined he had an accumulation of stones in his bladder, and we moved him to a prescription diet to hopefully reduce the stones and get them moving. Just before Thanksgiving, my wife Holly came down with pneumonia after a successful kidney transplant. I was worried the stress would put Riker in a bad place, as he was used to having Holly around all day to give him attention while I'm at work all day. The last couple of weeks Riker seemed to be OK but in the last 72 hours he's been complaining when going to the litter box, and this Christmas morning he's been in and out of the box and complaining constantly. My wife has no knowledge of what has transpired with Riker thus far yet. Our financial situation is not good. Social Security has been dragging on getting my wife on disability, which should have been automatic with her kidney transplant. She's been out of work as the effects of Granulomatosis with polyangiitis caught up to her kidneys. I've been able to make ends meet, but the last couple of years we've depleted savings due to her illness. I need to get Riker to the vet for another visit. I cannot imagine not having him home waiting for Holly's eventual return from the hospital.
