Help Riley attend Show Choir Camps of America

Hello! Im Riley and I am a senior at Tantasqua High School whose dream and passion is rooted in theatre and performing arts. Next year I am going to college to get my BFA in musical theatre and all throughout high school I have filled up my days with music, dance, and performing. Ive been in many plays, musicals, vocal/dance ensembles, etc. But the "activity" I hold closest to my heart is show choir. The act of singing, dancing, and performing with the people you've shed blood, sweat, and tears with. Putting together a show that moves peoples hearts and minds both onstage and off. Getting to meet people and create bonds that will last a lifetime. Show choir in the least cheesy way possible has changed my whole life and has genuinely kept me on this planet. Being a senior comes with a lot of goodbyes and one of the hardest I will have to say is the goodbye to show choir forever after I've spent the last 6 years giving my heart and soul to it.
SCA stands for Show Choir Camps of America. It Is a camp in Tiffin Ohio, and in this camp high school students from all over the country meet and work with the best vocal clinicians and choreographers in the nation. You stay in Ohio for the week, meeting people from all over who share the same passions as you. People who are so incredibly talented and some of the nicest most heartfelt you will ever meet. Ive been for the past 3 summers and it has been my favorite week out of the year every single time. It is not only this fun time singing and dancing and putting on a grand show, but this beautiful opportunity to learn and perfect the craft I hold so close to my heart. The craft I will be building my carrier and making my money with. I have learned some of the most meaningful and useful things at this camp about myself and my passions, and I've become a better performer all around because of it.
Over the past few years my family have been hit with a hurricane of difficult situations. From my sister going fully blind and having to pay hundreds of medical bills, to my stepdad loosing his life in an unexpected car crash. With him being our main source of income my family is unable to afford monthly expenses let alone a whole trip for me to go to Ohio. Im starting this gofundme in hopes of having one last opportunity to be on that stage, doing the thing I love most- show choir. But mainly in hopes of gaining my last opportunity to learn so much from these talented clinicians from all over the country. I want to take every opportunity I can to set myself up for success along the rigorous road ahead. With all the time I spent on show choir over the years, I would do anything to have one last opportunity to do it before it's gone in my life. I know many people and have been told many stories about how you meet your friends for life at this camp and it's more true than I can ever express. Also seeing how the most successful performers in the nation have also gone to this camp just goes to show how it truly is a life changing experience.

Any and all donations go directly to this trip. If I am unable to meet my goal, it will all go towards college and the expenses of being a musical theatre major.

I truly thank you donating if possible
