Hii! My name’s Riri, I’m a black trans-femme Touring Musician, Producer and Artist living and working in the East Coast, USA.
I’m raising funds to help cover Facial Feminization Surgery, Laser Touch-Up Treatment and other expenses living as a trans femme!

I’ve always had a difficult time asking for help financially - I’ve never made a gofund me for a personal medical expense before, so this is a little scary to me! But to be honest, I truly need the help now more than ever. Music has brought me to so many places and has let me meet so many people across the country and abroad, and with that comes an intense scrutiny of the self and your presentation to the world. I have always had intense dysmorphia, and thankfully HRT and one round of Laser Treatments has quelled the larger issues. But I’ve always known I would need to get FFS to finally feel comfortable in my own skin, at any and all times.

I would ask my family, as they are very supportive, but even before I left the nest to kickstart my career we had struggled with poverty and jobless spells for many years. I have been financially independent for quite some time, surviving on commission work, touring, and a savings from working 40+ overtime shifts at various workplaces, which abused me in many ways, both due to my transness and simply out of capitalistic greed.

I only truly discovered what “trans” really was when Covid-19 lockdown began, and suddenly my egg cracked. Cut to now, having followed the entire he/him->they/them->she/her pipeline, i am now a proud lesbian living with my partner and our 2 cats. Life, beyond dysmorphia, is beautiful, however between personal expenses and living in an expensive city we truly cannot afford any kind of “cosmetic” surgery, and often need additional funds to support our needs. This is where you can come in!!

Truly, this will change my life. Financial confidence and relief from dysmorphia brings that smile I put on every day deep down to the depths of my soul - I would feel like a completed woman and live as my true self.
