Help Rita Riley's family

Rita Riley, who is a Boston ER Staff 1, joined EY last year – she has spent the past several years in the US and lives in Boston with her 5-year-old daughter, Erica. As you may know, Rita was born and raised in Ukraine, and almost all of her close family was still in the country as of last week. Given the terrible situation in Ukraine, Rita has been helping her mother, sister, and brother to leave the country and I am very happy to share that they arrived in Boston on Wednesday. 

 

Many of you have been asking how you can support Rita and her family during this incredibly difficult time, so we have decided to set up a GoFundMe for those who are interested in contributing. The contributions will be used to assist them in covering travel costs as well as expenses related to getting settled upon arrival in the US (they had to leave home very quickly and with few possessions).

 

A few notes on the GoFundMe:

• This is a fully personal initiative (not EY-sponsored or EY-affiliated in any way) and completely optional. The GoFundMe is simply a way for us to collect contributions from individuals who have made the personal choice to contribute

• We are unable to accept contributions from clients

• We are working on creating a list of items and services Rita and her family will need – everything from toothbrushes/toiletries to warm winter gear to potential help with accommodations. The GoFundMe will be used toward these items, however there will also be opportunities for those of you who would prefer to contribute in a non-monetary way
