Help River get Gender Reaffirming Surgery

Hello! My name is River, I'm a 27-year-old, transgender tattoo artist based out of Austin, TX. I am seeking aid to pay for GRS (Bottom Surgery), which for me is a lifesaving procedure. It is however intense and will require an extensive amount of care, for which I have no ability to pay.

 

The process all told will cost between $10,000-15,000, which I know I will not raise in its entirety here, but having any amount of money saved would make surgery a more realistic prospect for me. I don't usually reach out for help in this way, as I prefer to keep my life mostly private, but I'm without other options.

 

While I love tattooing and am grateful for the opportunity, it only provides me with enough to cover my base expenses each month, which makes saving enough for the surgery nearly impossible to do on my own. That being said, I understand and completely support donating to other trans people more in need than myself. There are many others who suffer greater systemic hurdles than my own.

Still the daily mental toll going without GRS has taken/is taking on me is frankly becoming intolerable; surgery is becoming a necessity for my happiness and ability to function.
