Help River Stay Afloat!

Hey, my name is Emily and my fiance and I are trying to raise money for our darling friend River and her cat, Winston Church.

Due to unfortunate timing on multiple parts, River not only had to get a new vehicle (her original vehicle seized up, an unknown common issue with the one she had), but she had to move within a short period of time.

Rose, River, and I were all three trying to get out of a really bad living situation and despite our efforts, we couldn't find a place for the three of us. River is safely living by herself but with the timing of things, she is struggling to make ends meet.

The funds we are trying to raise would go towards:

A. Her car note. She had to ask for a deferment on the note and they want the amount for both months plus any late fees (Cost: $845.62)

B. Necessary dental work. River doesn't have insurance and due to a combination of factors including genetic issues, her teeth are literally falling apart and causing chronic infections. This would help her be able to get to a dentist, get x-rays, and hopefully get extractions done (although we aren't sure of the cost for that).

(Cost: $120 plus extractions)

C. She really needs to get in to see a doctor to get some medical answers and while she has a job, it again does not offer insurance.

(Cost: $160)

D. Any extra funds would go towards helping River afford her prescription medications, as well as any other needs that come up for she and Church.

River is currently employed, but she has a lot of chronic health issues and has been denied by disability despite multiple attempts. She is in the process of applying for other jobs in addition to her current employer, but it is a slow-going process. If all goes well and she gets the job where we're hoping for, she will have insurance after a few months, but its currently a "wait and see".

River isn't just our friend, she's the extra mom that we (and so many people in the local lgbtqia+ community) are so fortunate to have in our lives. She is an amazing person, a loving teacher (of 30+ years!) and just an overall joy to have in our lives. Its time we start paying it forward to her for all that she's done for others.
