“Be still, and know that I am God.” -Psalm 46:10

If you know my parents, Rob and Robin Tulk, you know that this verse rings true to their very core, while being still is so hard for them to do. They are always on the go serving the Lord in some way; whether it be building a Pastor’s retreat in the beautiful mountains near Durango, Colorado; praying with someone in a Walmart parking lot who happened to see the mural on their pickup window and waited for them to come out; helping plant a new Cowboy Church somewhere in New Mexico; distributing flyers for Cowboy Camp Revivals or hosting Christian movie nights on the outside tv of their travel trailer in whatever RV park they stopped at for the night. They never slow down and never stop spreading The Word and sharing their testimony with anybody that will listen, and sometimes those that won’t! :)

Being still is something they’re having to learn to do right now, as Dad was just recently in the hospital with Covid Pneumonia. During his exams they found several large masses in his lung that are very concerning, so he began getting established with a primary care doctor here in Arizona and will be seeing a pulmonary oncologist at the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson right away.

Not only have my parents given of their time to travel the country sharing the Bible, they’ve given financially in ways that have meant they themselves sacrifice some of the things they need. Although my Dad retired from the Arizona Highway Patrol and Robin as the much-loved librarian of the Alpine, Arizona library, they haven’t had the best insurance coverage and expenses will soon be piling up. I’m working to get them signed up for a Medicare supplement plan through the Arizona Public Safety Retirement System, but that won’t kick in until January. So I am reaching out to hopefully get some help to cover the expenses that have already been incurred. God has always provided for them in just the perfect time, and we know now will be no different. We appreciate all the prayers and supportive phone calls that have come this way, and I will continue to update everyone as we navigate this time, knowing everything that comes is according to His plan.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
