Help Rob Play Guitar Again
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Quinn Erickson, the daughter of Rob Erickson. Many of you will know or remember my dad. And so you also know that music has been his lifelong passion. His entire professional career spanned almost 30 years in Seattle radio, as well as heavy involvement in the local Seattle music community.
Three years ago my dad was diagnosed with a rare brain condition known as Hydrocephalus. This disease has resulted in brain surgery and numerous life changes. His recovery and rebuilding process continue to go well, however, the condition has jumbled and deleted areas of his memory--specifically natural gifts like how to play the guitar. More than anything, he wants to teach himself how to play again. Two years ago, he also endured a cervical spinal fusion which has impact his vocal cords. So, he hopes to re-learn singing as well.
Which brings us to the reality and purpose of this post... My dad's career ended and he had to part with his guitars when funds ran low during his three year fight for disability benefits. Now that he is disabled and on a very fixed income, he is not able to afford a new guitar. He misses it so, and is empty without it. If you're compelled and able to help my dad reunite with his passion, please do... Thank You.
