Help Rob Retiano Secure a New Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott Brooks and my friend Rob Retiano needs your help. He told me that he did not want a GoFundMe set up but I'm stubborn and believe in the collective good of people.
Rob is currently living in a townhouse that he initially moved into almost 5 years ago with an ex-girlfriend, and the rent has increased progressively each year, despite initial assurances from the landlord that the rent would not go up.
After the relationship ended, the rent jumped to $1,400 per month, and subsequent increases have made it difficult to afford, with the current rent being $1,600 per month.
The landlord is now raising the rent again, and the option to stay month-to-month would be significantly more expensive, making it necessary to find a new place to live.
The challenge of finding a new place is complicated by the need to make approximately $2,000 to $2,500 within the next four to five weeks to cover the deposit and moving costs.
If this money cannot be raised Rob will have to put all his belongings into a storage unit and live out of his car for the foreseeable future.
Rob has two kids he sees on a part time basis. A girl age 11 and a boy turning 9 next month. When they visit he wants it to be at his home with a roof over their head and not his car.
Rob is a great guy, an amazing artist, a wonderful father and he needs our help.
