Help Robby Joe and Esme Find Stability

Hi everyone

My name is Robby Joe Martinez, and I’m a devoted single father to my beautiful 7-year-old daughter, Esme Jo Martinez. Life has thrown us some unexpected challenges, and I’m reaching out for support as we work toward stability and a fresh start in a new state.

For years, Esme and I lived in California, where I worked hard to provide for her. But after a difficult divorce, everything changed. Suddenly, I found myself struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living, and despite my best efforts, we were facing eviction. As a father, the thought of my daughter not having a safe place to sleep at night was unbearable.

With no other options, I made the painful decision to leave behind everything we knew—our home, friends, and the life we had built—to move to Oklahoma, where the cost of living is more manageable. Every dollar of my savings went into this move—covering gas, moving truck expenses, deposits, and temporary housing—just to give Esme a chance at a better future.

Now, with our savings depleted, we’re starting over from scratch. I’m working hard to find stable employment and rebuild our life, but we need a little help to bridge the gap as we get back on our feet.

Support Context

The transition has been much harder than I expected. Moving to a new place with no safety net has been overwhelming, and while I’m determined to make this work, I can’t do it alone. Your support will help us:

Secure stable housing – We need a safe, permanent home where Esme can feel secure, rather than worrying about where we’ll be next.

Cover essential living expenses – Every dollar will help with rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation so we can stay afloat.

Ensure Esme has everything she needs – School supplies, clothing, and activities that will help her adjust to our new environment and feel like a normal kid.

Build a foundation for the future – I’m actively looking for stable work, but until then, we need a little support to keep things steady.

I’m not someone who asks for help easily. As a father, I’ve always prided myself on being able to take care of my daughter on my own. But right now, I just want to make sure Esme has the security and stability she deserves. She’s been incredibly strong through all of this, but I don’t want her to feel the weight of our struggles.
