Help Robert Kennedy Afford Life-Saving Treatments

Hi Family and Friends:

My name is Bessie; Robert Kennedy is my brother.

So many times we show our love for someone at a homegoing service. A place where they can neither see nor hear our kind gestures. Although one may have good intentions, it does that person no good. Let us practice doing what we can do while the loved one still lives; so that, they may see and hear our love and concern for them.

I said all of that to say this: We are in of your help.

My brother Robert is facing some very serious health challenges. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer alone with some recent surgeries; and yes, the cancer is serious. Each time he goes to the doctor he has to pay up to $20 just for parking. His co payments for treatments are going to be $250.00 plus his medications and gas expenses to get there and back home after each treatment. He is going to need at least 4 months of treatment for the cancer. He has refused needed treatments because he cannot afford the copayments.

His wife is works; she is currently on probation with her new job. She has recently started back to working. She had been putting in applications for the last few years and have had interviews; just to find out later that the company hired someone else. She is doing all she can to stand beside her husband through all of this, even having to take off work sometimes to get him to his appointments putting herself at risk with her job. Family have stepped in to help, but because of their jobs and responsibilities, the help is limited. This is why I am reaching out to you. He didn’t ask me to do this; but, I see the need.

Our brother is going to fight his best fight to live, but he needs our help with his medical and other expenses. Whatever you can do will be truly amazing and greatly appreciated. If you can’t do anything at this time, it is understandable. Keep him in your prayers.
