Help Robinson and his family get their passports!
Donation protected
UPDATE September 28, 2023
With your help, Robinson was able to submit the documents and fees in order to get their passports. Unfortunately, they required an additional $200 for some updated documents (which came out of the original GoFundMe campaign.)
Robinson was also able to use $300 of the original GoFundMe campaign to provide much needed medicine for his mother.
Now, the passport agency is requiring an additional $500 in order to get the passports printed for the family. Robinson is understandably frustrated with what seems to be some corruption at the agency.
Please consider donating what you can in order to help my friend Robinson and his family.
In Peace,
Linnea
ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hi! This is my friend Robinson and his beautiful family living in Haiti. We are raising money for them to get their passports so they can apply for humanitarian parole visas to work in the United States for a few years.
Each passport will cost approximately $250. After they secure their passports, they can apply for a humanitarian visa.
Things in Haiti are difficult for my friend and his family. There is a lot of violence in his neighborhood. There are also many kidnappings and it is very scary for Robinson and his family. He also is taking care of his mother who needs expensive medication. He is looking to take advantage of an opportunity to come to the U.S. to work for a few years and then return to the country he loves. He has a place to stay while he is in the U.S. and some leads for jobs while he is here. The first step is for the family to get their passports.
Robinson is a longtime friend. I have worked with him many times in Haiti beginning in 2011. He is smart, hard working, and extremely generous. He always wants to take care of people in need.
Please consider donating to help Robinson and his family secure their passports so they can take the next steps in the process of securing temporary work visas.
Thank you in advance! If you have any questions about Robinson or this process, please contact me.
In Peace,
Linnea
