Help Robyn Fight Triple Negative Breast Cancer

I am writing to you as a caring sister, a thoughtful daughter, a loving aunt. As a fellow human being who shares this strange ball of floating, living, matter with you– one who needs your help.
Our Mother, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, Aunt, trusty Flight Attendant, and most recently, new Grandmother needs your help to survive.
She needs your help to continue her fight. To hold her Granddaughter, kiss her children, hug her sisters, to cherish moments with her husband of 35+ years, tend to her flowers in her backyard, to feed the stray cats and raccoons in her neighborhood.
Who is she? Let me tell you about Robyn Love, the high school tennis mom and your #1 fan, adventurous flight attendant, and wild and carefree sister…who is now fighting for her life every single day.
Robyn was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in October of 2020, as well as Pancreatic Cancer in November of 2020. In March of 2021 she underwent two major surgeries to attempt to remove the dual cancers – a rare Whipple surgery for her Pancreatic Cancer, and a Double Mastectomy for her Triple Negative Breast Cancer, where not only her breasts, but her lymph nodes were removed.
She has endured countless chemotherapy sessions, radiation therapies, and other debilitating treatments and now endures the side effects and traumas associated with those surgeries daily, but nevertheless, she continues to fight. Robyn wants to continue living, just like each and every one of us.
Although it seems that her Whipple surgery may have been successful against the Pancreatic Cancer, her Breast Cancer has progressed into Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This cancer affects less than 13 women out of every 100,000 diagnosed with a form of Breast Cancer. It carries a 5-year relative survival rate – and is one of the most challenging cancers to beat.
Throughout these strenuous times, Robyn still made the effort to attend her daughter’s wedding, her granddaughter’s first Christmas, and various other family events. She has undergone dangerous, major surgeries and grueling treatments where she has lost her breasts, her pancreas, her lymph nodes, her hair, but never her will to live, to survive for herself, and above all – to survive for her family who desperately needs her.
Robyn attends Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Mayo Clinic boasts world-class providers and state-of-the-art facilities, which unfortunately, are also accompanied by hefty bills and exorbitant tabs. Robyn and her husband Robert are running out of their hard-earned retirement funds to pay such expenses and would appreciate anything you could contribute. The funds you donate would be used to pay travel bills and medical statements that include Robyn’s treatments, surgeries, medications, home care, and more. Robyn is currently trying to pay for a new treatment that is not covered by insurance and can cost upwards of $30,000 alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read Robyn’s story. If you know her personally, you know she would take the shirt from her very back if you were in need. Please take the time to share if you knew someone that fought the good fight against Pancreatic and Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
