Help Robyn Return To Spelman

Hello, my name is Robyn Simpson. I am a second-year Spelman College student seeking a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Las Vegas, Nevada.

I am seeking assistance raising funds for Spring 2023 tuition expenses. Education has always been a crucial part of my life as a low-income, first-generation college student. Not only is Spelman the #1 HBCU in the country, full of brilliant minds and opportunities, but It is also a space where I have found community and support. Attending Spelman is an honor that has changed my life and who I am. There are very few spaces in the world built to support black women and help us succeed, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to earn my education in one such place.

Finding ways to finance my education is a constant uphill battle. Due to financial hardships, I took a leave of absence during the fall 2022 semester. During my leave, I have been working full time, saving money towards tuition, and exploring alternative options to finance my education at Spelman to return for the Spring Semester. Unfortunately, I have not been able to gather the full tuition on my own. Although I am halfway there, I still need $7,250 for Spring 2023 tuition payments. They say by choosing to attend Spelman, you are making "A Choice To Change The World", and by donating to this GoFundMe, you are making a choice to change mine. Please help me to continue my journey at Spelman and reach my financial goal for Spring 2023.
