Help Rochelle and Ray Nelson family

Donation protected
In August 2011, Ray was diagnosed with Stage 4 head, throat and neck cancer.  He initially was given a 20% chance of survival.  He beat the cancer and was able to go back to work 9 months later.  Since that time he has struggled with the after effects of the cancer treatment.  This has resulted in reoccurring upper respiratory issues and a weakened immune system.   Since his cancer diagnosis, he has lost over 100 pounds and has been unable to gain weight.  Recently he fell and broke his hip and injured his shoulder, which required two separate surgeries and now he is unable to work.

In May 2012, Rochelle was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized into the colon, ovaries and bone.  With treatment, she managed to work two jobs for six years to support her family.  About a year ago, her cancer changed and she became very sick and her doctor insisted she stop working.  Since that time, the cancer continues to change requiring frequent changes in treatment.
This is a family of faith with great strength and they are very thankful to God for his continued blessings in their lives and the people who have surrounded them during this difficult time.
As you can imagine, every day expenses like the mortgage, medication, medical expenses and having one of their sons still in high school is overwhelming.  We as family are reaching out to you and any donation is appreciated.  To follow Rochelle's and Ray’s journey, you can visit Caring Bridge under Rochelle Nelson.
Thank you for your consideration.
