Help Rock Haven Laid Off Employees
News 3000 Story
On December 23, 2020 the nursing home administrator of Rock County owned Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville, WI sent out an urgent memo to all staff advising them they had to choose between a mandatory shot and losing their job through a layoff.
The first dose happened on January 5, 2021 and 5 employees were laid off when they refused the shot. Some who received the shot suffered severe side effects and countless employees implored administration and county supervisors to remove the requirement with no luck.
The second dose was be administered on 2/2/2021 and more brave men and women stood up for their bodily autonomy and basic human rights. They said "NO" to an unwanted shot and were laid off their jobs.
Some of these individuals spent decades of their careers at Rock Haven only to face unemployment and immediate loss of health insurance thanks to this new policy.
This funds raised will be going directly to the staff to cover legal fees and to help those that chose to be laid off instead of having something unwanted injected in their bodies. They need help paying their mortgage, car payments, electric bills, and health insurance during their layoff.
These courageous individuals are grateful for any donation you can make which will help them survive this difficult time. In addition, people who care about bodily integrity and human rights around the world are also grateful for anyone who takes a stand. I hope the bravery of the Rock Haven staff helps encourage other employees to stand together against similar policies.
