Help Rockell's Family After Tragic Setbacks

My name is Rockell Osten, and I am a 32-year-old wife and mother of 3 amazing little boys. This is new to me. I have never done anything like this before, but it was suggested by a family member as a last option because we have done everything else we can think of but are still struggling.

My husband and I got married in May of 2023. I already had two little boys that he took as his own and has never batted an eye to love and support just as his own. My oldest son lost his dad due to a tragic accident in 2018 and since has never had any love or support from any of his side of the family. My middle son’s father is currently incarcerated due to being almost $10,000 behind in child support and has never helped at all. We welcomed our baby boy together into the world in October of 2024.

Since meeting my husband, he has worked to support us all, and I have been a stay-at-home mom. He worked many hours of overtime, countless days and nights, in order to support us and never complained at all. In addition to all that, my husband was raised by his elderly grandmother who, due to terminal illness and being wheelchair-bound and unable to care for herself, has lived with us since we got married. I have cared for her along with our 3 kids while he worked supporting us all.

Unfortunately, due to the type of work my husband did for many years, which was changing giant tires on big equipment, he had an unexpected back injury and has now been unable to work since the same month our newborn was born, October of 2024. Now to date, he has undergone 2 major back surgeries and never recovered like the doctors said he would. Since his most recent surgery, his legs have gone numb, and paralysis has started setting in.

We have lived on our savings and done the best we can to get by from October 2024 until recently, and now we have used all our funds and are in need of immediate assistance to keep our home for our family as well as to be able to pay our bills. My husband needs to be admitted back into the hospital due to his complications, but as a man, he cannot just go be admitted to a hospital and leave his family to be set out on the streets with nowhere to go and no money to live on.

Also, while he was hospitalized the last most recent time, I was in an auto accident on my way to take our son to his doctor appointment that totaled our only vehicle and has now left us without a way to even get to doctor appointments or the grocery store. So this is our last and only hope to leave it all in God's hands and pray that our story reaches some people who have a heart and are able to help us before it’s too late. He is currently admitted in UK hospital in Lexington been here for about nine days now and the doctors are saying everything at this point is just a day to day process as far as his recovery. But unfortunately, last night things started looking a little worse when he spiked a fever of almost 104 and the doctors are unsure of what could have caused a fever or why he is now at this time spiking such a fever when he hasn’t had one since he’s been here yet. they have also said it is very likely he will have to have a blood transfusion, but they’re unsure where the blood that he is losing is going so please keep us in your prayers and every dollar helps and even if you can’t donate any money your prayers mean, just as much thank you.
