Good Day All,

My name is Rocquel Bailey-Sterling and I'm 28 years old. I've been battling an illness for the past 2 1/2 years but was officially diagnosed in January of 2024 with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

I was employed by a company as an Operations Manager but was laid off after becoming ill and advising my direct manager. Over the past year, I was able to sustain myself with the help of my family, husband, and emergency funds; however, I am yet to start my recovery.

As a mother of three children, my primary concern is providing for my children.

Living with Lupus has impacted my daily life tremendously as I am no longer physically able to do a lot of things that wouldn’t take a lot of effort. The financial strain is also an additional burden, hence why I am reaching out for help and support.

Specifically, I am seeking help with covering any medical tests and medication expenses because I have not yet met with a rheumatologist and I would love to begin the process of healing. Any assistance would greatly alleviate the financial burden and help me to focus on my recovery.
