Help Roger get his garden back!

Hi. My name is Dan Flitcroft. I run Stage 2 Studios in Bath and also sing for the band Sergeant Thunderhoof.

Many of you in the Bath and South West music scene will know Roger Densham. As well as being in the awesome band Doomicidal, he has spent years supporting local and national artists, promoting DIY shows and raising ridiculous amounts of money for charity, including the ever brilliant Mind Over Metal and Rock Against Cancer events. He even gave Sergeant Thunderhoof some of our most early gigs and has been a pillar of support throughout our existence.

Sadly, Roger is now in need of our help. Recently he made the incredibly brave step of being open with his cancer diagnosis. Heartbreakingly, there is no cure for his condition, but he is getting all the treatment he needs to prolong his time on this Earth for as long as he can for his family and friends.

We want to help Roger enjoy his remaining time and from speaking with him, we have determined that the best thing we can do is to raise money to get his front and back garden sorted out. It has become a little wild and untamed, so we are raising funds to get the right people in to clear it all and make it a haven for him and his family. Ideally, we'd like to get this done ASAP so he can enjoy the wonderful weather that we'll be expecting this Summer.

Whatever we raise will go directly towards Roger's garden, every single penny. Additionally, we are also looking to put on a benefit show for him in September. This is being organised by the fantastic Matt Jones who is putting together an awesome lineup. We will be raising further funds on the night. Links and details for tickets will be published here shortly. But for now, we really need to raise as much as possible, in as short a time as possible in order to get work on his garden moving.

I really appreciate any support you can give to this worthwhile venture. I'll be happy to answer any questions. I am in discussions with some gardeners and landscapers to get quotes and timescales. If you happen to be in a position to help advise on this, please don't hesitate to contact me.
