Help Roger Rebuild After Airport Fire
Donation protected
My name is Heidi Palmer and I created this GoFundMe for our friend and neighbor, Roger Williams. Roger just lost his home in the Airport Fire in Decker Canyon on September 10, 2024.
The Airport Fire started in Orange County, California, on Monday, September 9th, but exploded in size scorching nearly 20,000 acres with 0% containment by Tuesday. The fire crossed the Ortega Highway in Riverside County and burned some structures in Decker Canyon, including Roger’s home. Roger safely evacuated with his two cats, but he lost everything. We are completely heartbroken for him. His family has lived in Decker Canyon for decades.
Roger is a kind-hearted man who works at the local Hafey Farms Mountain Market in El Cariso Village, which was luckily saved from the fire. You all know Roger from behind the counter and deli, his infectious smile, warm welcome, and his servants heart. Always willing to help and serve customers. In fact, Roger had just learned about his loss and first thing he did was show up to the store to help serve and feed the firemen...this dude worked for 10 hours straight!
PLEASE help us in supporting this wonderful man as it is our time to rally around him!
Seeking financial help to fund interim housing, replace personal items and help re-build long-term.
