Help Rohini Chakravarthy fight Metastatic Cancer

In 2018 Ms. Rohini Chakravarthy was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. At the time, she underwent a lumpectomy and chemotherapy and was declared cancer free. In 2021 she started having terrible pain in her back and spine; after seeing her doctor, she was told that her cancer was back and had metastasized to her hip bone and spine. Again, she was put through the wringer of chemotherapy treatments along with daily radiation. Once again, the doctors cleared her, and she was in remission. A few months later, she started getting terrible headaches. Again, she went to her doctor and was given the worst news possible, her cancer was back, and this time it had metastasized to her brain. Normal chemotherapy drugs are unable to effectively treat breast cancer that has metastasized to the brain. For treatment of her brain cancer, she has been put on a drug called Tucatinib along with oral chemo and immunotherapy injections. Ms. Chakravarthy needs 18 total treatments with 1 treatment every 3 weeks. The cost for 1 treatment is $16,000. Her doctor made an appeal to the German drug company to waive the cost in her situation, but the appeal was denied. Ms. Chakravarthy needs a total of $288,000 for her complete treatment. Every little bit helps when the cost is so giant.

20 years ago, Ms. Rohini Chakravarty, an Electronics Engineer, gave up her teaching career with Bishop Cottons College in Bangalore, India to teach Hindu Scriptures to the children of her neighborhood. What started out as a small living room class of children has now expanded to various schools and orphanages where Ms. Rohini along with a team of trained volunteers teach students of all ages about Hindu Scriptures for free.
