Help Ronald and Carol Mumford

Hello, my name is Tamara Mumford-Shiner and I want you to know this beautiful couple, Ron and Carol Mumford, are my parents - married 35 years. Theirs is a true love story of two people that dearly cherish each other. So this change in events for them is devastating.
My amazing Dad is a strong and incredibly giving man, able to do anything, until he suffered a stroke. But he continued to find ways to be a giving person to those in the community that needed his special abilities. Ron became known as the "Bike Man" and would refurbish tossed away bikes and donate to those needing at Immigrant Services through Granite School District. He was even featured on KUTV Bike Man Pay it Forward for his good works to those in need.
In 2020, Ron fell and suffered the first of many breaks to his back due to falls, resulting in his inability to continue as the beloved Bike Man. As he began to heal from break upon break, the man that we knew began slipping from us. Dementia had begun to creep into our lives. However, things escalated quicker then any of us thought it could and we had to move Ron into a Memory Care facility. We also were told that he has Capgras Syndrome with Alzheimer. This has come as a devastating blow to our family and our hearts are breaking.
These services are very costly and family is rallying to give support, but funds are needed to help Ron to get the care that he needs and to help Carol whom has been his sole-caregiver for all these many months. Please watch the attached video and read about this debilitating disease.
This is very hard to ask for help, but we do not know what the future holds. Please hold your loved ones close and spend time with your family, as each one is a precious gift.
