Help Ronald Schuh Regain Strength
Donation protected
Ronald Schuh has been an active local in Rapid City, SD for 38 years. He has owned several small businesses such as Dela Rosita, Morningside Café 1 and 2, Ron’s Café, and Enchilada Rons. In that time, he provided a warm and welcoming establishment with amazing food that allowed the community to truly come together. He has partnered throughout the years with homeless shelters, food pantries, and local churches to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in free food to those in most need. On his time off, he still took care of friends, family, and anyone that needed a helping hand. He asked nothing in return. Covid was a challenging time for a lot of families, many were out of work and struggled to get by. He provided hundreds of full meals, only accepting what people would offer as donations. He epitomizes a selfless citizen.
Two years ago, Ron found out he had lung cancer. For over a year, he fought back and went through relentless chemotherapy treatments, a lobectomy, and multiple types of medications that have left him with kidney disease, massive brain fog, hepatic steatosis, leading him to pure exhaustion most days. Even through that, he was denied disability. Determined to get better and help others, he has been trying to get off his feet ever since. He has worked hard to pay off over $100,000 in medical bills after insurance coverage, and has tried to work multiple times. First, he tried to start up a new business, and after almost a year, he had to sell it and start new again. Since then, he has tried to work at two different places and cannot get enough energy to get up in the morning. All he wants to do is give back to others and this community and now is the time we can help give back to him. Please help him to be able to pay for basic necessities, fight towards getting back to work, and gain back his ability to give back to others once again.
