Help Roni & JR after car accident & loss of baby
Donation protected
On the early morning of January 19, 2022, Veronica (or “Roni,” as those close to her affectionately call her) was involved in a head-on collision on her commute to work in Wyoming. Roni was life-flighted from Cody, Wyoming, to Billings, Montana, where she has a long fight ahead of her. Roni was pregnant with twin baby girls at the time of the accident, due in April 2022. We are still waiting for details, but we do know the accident left Roni with several broken bones in her arms, as well as a broken pelvis, but the biggest loss was the loss of one of their baby girls, Aurora, who unfortunately did not survive the impact of the collision. The other twin, Maggie, survived the collision and is being monitored but is not out of the woods yet. Their young family had already experienced tragedy when Roni’s fiancé, JR, had a work accident which left him permanently disabled and unemployed, leaving Roni the sole provider while JR retrains for new employment. Their young family has been through so much in recent years, yet they dreamed of being parents, lived humbly, and worked diligently to provide a bright future for their family. They love each other and their babies so, so much.
While both Roni and JR’s families are helping to support them in their time of need, we are asking for additional support to help cover six months of basic expenses, such as their mortgage payment, electricity, heat, and food while Roni recovers (needing bed rest until Maggie is born hopefully in late March), and they process their overwhelming grief. We are also seeking to help get them a down payment for a new-to-them vehicle, as there will be many medical and physical therapy appointments in their future, and their main mode of transportation was a total loss during the accident. Gifting Roni and JR with financial support will allow their family time to heal both physically and emotionally from the trauma and loss they have endured, as well as gift them time to prepare for the arrival of their surviving daughter under these altered circumstances in which both parents are now suffering significant physical limitations.
Every donation counts, regardless of the amount. Please share and continue to pray for the baby girl they lost (Aurora), the baby still fighting to stay alive (Maggie), Roni, and JR as they begin to navigate this unimaginable tragedy. We will post updates as they are available. Thank you and God bless.
