Help Roo and Family Secure a Safe Home

Hi! My name is Hikaroo, I also go by Roo, Mama Roo or to some RooRoo.

I am a proud parent of three amazing Roolings, and partner to Saber for the past seven years.

I have always been stubborn and have done a terrible job asking for help, but I am asking for it now.

We keep running into issues with our landlord, to where they are actively trying to find ways to evict us, even under false pretenses. I have medical issues arising, and the last thing I need is the added stress of not knowing if we will keep a roof over our head.

It has taken a lot of support and guidance for me to even get this far, and even then, I am crying because I feel guilty. Maybe if I had worked harder, I'd have done more and wouldn't be here.

But this isn't about how I feel. This is about my kids.

Since the start of the pandemic, we have been in a 2 bedroom house as three people. It's always been too small, but we've made it work.

My kids are amazing and sweet, and deserve to have their own space, and a safe space where they can play, grow, and thrive.

What these funds are for... I am looking to purchase a small mobile home, with how the market is, this home is 150k.

I intend to pull from what little is in my 401K for a down payment. (I never started one until my recent job because we were going to use my ex-husbands, and then we got divorced)

My credit is on the cusp of being where I need it to be approved, but my past debt is still haunting me.

The debt from cards that I used to survive as a single mom for many years, and then to survive as a single income house.

I've been slowly working it down, but it isn't fast enough. If I raise money here, it is to get these cards to the 30% usage so that it is positive for my credit, instead of negative.

This isn't asking for people to pay off all of my debt, but to help me get to where I can get a home to feel and be safe, to have a space that I can work and be okay.

As it stands, I am not okay, and I am tired.
